How to: Draw a shape in Excel.
Solution:
Display the 'Drawing' toolbar, then click 'Freehand' or 'Freeform'. Press and hold down the left-mouse button and drag to draw a shape.
1) Display the 'Drawing' toolbar if it is not already displayed on the screen.
a) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Toolbars...'. (The Toolbars dialog box appears.)
b) Select the 'Drawing' check box.
c) Click 'OK'.
2) Click either the 'Freehand' or 'Freeform' toolbar button.
NOTE: A freeform shape can be made entirely of freehand lines, straight lines or a combination of the two. The freeform tool allows the creation of a variety of shapes such as clouds, maps or cursive writing.
3) Press and hold down the left-mouse button then drag to use the mouse as a pencil.
4) Release the mouse button when the drawing is complete.
NOTE: If using the 'Freehand' drawing option, then one click ends the drawing. If using the 'Freeform' drawing option, double-click to end the drawing.
